SUNNY PASSIVE HOUSES

An example of a house with "zero" demand for conventional energy for heating.
The house with terraced houses has perfect thermal insulation of walls and roof. The heat demand is covered by the heat recovery system from the forced ventilation system. South side windows increase solar gains, and the closure of the building on the north side (extension – vestibule) also minimizes heat loss when entering and leaving the house. Solar radiation collectors (ok. 6 m2 per apartment) they heat domestic hot water.

In passive houses, we resign from achieving zero energy demand for heating, which is possible thanks to the use of very modern, expensive technological solutions. A passive house is to be an affordable house, what can be achieved by simplifying energy systems. Minimizing the cost of a passive house is a prerequisite for the widespread dissemination of this idea.
