Fixing skirting boards

Skirting boards are used to cover the edges of the arranged surface and to protect the walls. For a professional and optically good solution, the following points should be observed:
• This must be taken into account when placing the skirting boards above the expansion joint, that the parquet floor is not impeded as a result.
• Above chipboard substrates, a ventilation gap should be provided under or behind the skirting boards.
• The skirting boards at the corners are cut diagonally (45°). It is best to apply mortars to avoid contamination, varnishes, preservatives and paint coatings before fixing.

First, holes for screws are drilled in the strip. A wood drill with a centering point is used for this. Then the holes are reamed with a countersink or a reamer.
Mark holes for expansion bolts on the wall through the screw holes. These holes are drilled and cleaned.
The strips are screwed with screwdrivers with countersunk heads and then the holes for the screws are patched with a colored wood putty.
