We can additionally strengthen the wall with a very strong one, durable and impact-resistant and scratch-resistant finishing material – Tapetami Tasso. These are fiberglass mats, with different textures. It is worth using them in dry rooms, everywhere there, where the ground is weak, e.g. old, several decades-old plaster. Tasso wallpaper will cover any existing cracks and prevent new ones from forming. Tasso wallpaper is glued directly to an even substrate., properly prepared. Apply the glue in stripes with a width slightly larger than the width of the strip (break) wallpapers. We use a typical sheep wool rolling pin, width 15-20 cm.
Then we put an evenly trimmed strip of wallpaper, trying to avoid leaving air bubbles under it, and pre-press it with your hand. We fit the adjacent panels exactly butted together.
When we do it, Press the belt evenly and carefully over the entire surface. This time we use a roller made of polyurethane sponge or soft rubber.
In each corner, fold the belt onto the adjacent wall to the width of at least 10 cm. First, carefully press the wallpaper down with your hand, so that no kinks or folds arise, and only then with a roller.
At window and door openings, corners and switches need to be cut off the excess wallpaper. We use a sharp knife for this, e.g. for plasterboard or for floor coverings.
In a constantly damp or even wet room, inadequately ventilated, in the presence of nutrients in the form of soap residues, grease and dirt (the result of inaccurate cleaning), molds can develop. This, in turn, becomes the cause of serious damage. Therefore, appropriate adhesives must be used in such places, putties and paints.

In Sweden, standards have been developed for paint coatings and wall and ceiling coverings in wet rooms. They were divided into classes: VT – for watertight surfaces, and VA – for water repellants. Alcro-Beckers has in turn developed several new complete systems, m.in. the aforementioned Resistent for painting new wet rooms and refurbishing existing ones.

Fiberglass wallpaper is always used in VT class systems for watertight surfaces. This applies to walls that are washed with a stream of water, located at a distance of up to 1 m from the bathtub or shower, and such, in which there are leaking taps or there is a possibility of flooding or water leakage. There are also all places of joining, connections and points of assembly or installation of fittings must be watertight.

In new watertight surfaces of class VT made of plasterboards, the heads of screws and nails should be covered with two layers of plaster., and then fill the joints twice with putty. The plastered or concrete surface is completely covered with this agent.
