Firing stumps

Firing stumps – One of the methods of removing old stumps sticking out of the ground is to make them biologically corroded to such an extent, that the rotten wood can be easily crumbled and removed from the ground. With this method, a series of holes should be drilled in the forehead of the stump, as deep as possible with a diameter of at least 20 mm. An aqueous sodium chlorate solution is then poured into these holes. The solution will penetrate the wood tissue and destroy it. The liquid must especially be poured into large stumps several times for several months.
