Installation of the FAKRO window set consisting of two roof windows connected with two elbow windows

Installation of a FAKRO window set consisting of two roof windows connected to two elbow windows in an experimental building.
Roof and L-shaped windows with the following technical parameters have been designed and manufactured for the passive building:
Construction: rotary windows,
Construction of windows:
– layered glued pine wood, vacuum impregnated, double painted with acrylic varnish,
– double-chamber glass with two low-emission layers, filled with noble gas – krypton,
Light transmittance: LT 65%,
Reflection of light: LR 17%,
Total solar energy transmittance: g 42%,
Heat transfer coefficient for the glass: At the glass = 0,5 W/(m2-K), Factor for the entire window: In the window = 0,94 W/(m2 • K),

We prepare openings for the installation of skylight windows in the roof slope. The openings in the wall have been prepared in advance - according to the design. After unpacking the roof window, the first step is to screw the mounting angles to the frame. The assembly system and a wide range of sealing collars make it possible to choose the depth of the window installation in the roof structure. The deeper recess of the window into the roof surface allows for better insulation around the window. In accordance with the assembly instructions, we mark the place of installation of L-shaped windows and then start the installation of roof windows. We accurately measure the spacing between the windows horizontally, in this case, according to the design, the spacing is 20 cm. After checking the correctness of window installation (equal gaps between the sash and the frame along the entire length and height of the window) screw the assembly angles to the rafters. The next step is the installation of L-shaped windows. At every stage of assembly, we take care of the tightness of the windows. We thoroughly insulate the roof window with the thermal insulation material included in the set with the Fakro vapor-permeable collar. It is an additional thermal insulation of the window from the outside, which reduces heat loss. We install the vapor-permeable collar, which protects the thermal insulation material against moisture. The next step is to install the sealing collar, which will ensure the tightness of the connection between the window and the roofing material. Then we put on the sponge sealing wedges, which protect against blowing leaves and snow under the roofing. The final stage of roof window installation is inserting the sash and checking the correct functioning of the windows. After the complete flashing of the knee windows is installed, we begin the installation of the external roller shutter. The roof window as well as the roller shutters are electrically operated. The entire set of windows and blinds is connected to rain sensors, wind, dusk, which enables automatic and automatic control of the window and roller shutters during bad weather conditions.
