Elements of the hydraulic system of the boiler room

Because of destiny, devices placed in boiler rooms can be divided into four groups:
1) heat and energy transfer devices,
2) regulating devices,
3) control and measurement devices,
4) safety devices.

The most important hydraulic devices are listed in the table, that can be assigned to each of these four groups.

Energy transfer devices are responsible for converting and transmitting the energy stream. Chemical energy is converted into heat in the combustion chamber, which is transferred from the hot flue gas to the water through the heat exchanger inside the boiler. A heat stream in the form of a stream of hot water, by means of hydraulic hoses, pumps and distributors is supplied to receivers.

Regulating devices are responsible for the optimal distribution and use of heat flux in receiving installations.

Control and measurement devices are used to control the operating parameters of the boiler room on an ongoing basis.

Safety devices are to ensure failure-free operation of the boiler room and safe operation.

The designer's task is to select individual devices in this way, to ensure proper operation of the boiler room. Devices are selected for the so-called. calculation conditions (design), that is, taking into account the work of the boiler room at the expected, maximum load. During the heating season, the boiler room works at full capacity for several / several days a year. For that reason, oversizing devices should be avoided.
