Concreting using a floating form

Concreting using a floating form – It is a technique similar to the slide concreting method, invented by the Swedish company Ab. Hydro Concrete. The concrete mix is poured continuously in a floating manner, a sealed form with a prefabricated bottom. The concrete level rises and is always above the water table. The correct submersion of the mold is regulated by pumping water into the cylindrical floats connected to the mold. The form is built over by a tight bulkhead, which protrudes from the water after the mold rests on the bottom. After pumping out the water from the floats, the concrete structure can be floated in a vertical position to the place of its flooding. In this method, complex shapes of underwater structures can be used: double walls, reinforcement, channels for spring tendons etc..
