Learning Objects REpository network
LOREnet

LOREnet is a tool for sharing knowledge within and beyond the walls of your own school or university. Enabling lecturers and students to share and exchange learning resources with one another, it supplies educational material through a network of universities (including universities of professional education). A time-saver as well, LOREnet makes it easy for you to find learning resources relevant to your field. You can also use it to share your own particular school’s resources with others.

Use LOREnets search engine to explore databases of all linked institutions. Download any useful material you come across and integrate it into your own study programme. Or use complete learning resources, e.g. as a blueprint for a course. The possibilities are endless. So what are you waiting for? Use LOREnet!

Example of how to use LOREnet
Paul is a lecturer. He has to prepare a lecture about the effects of air pressure. He used to get most of his information out of books and present it through Powerpoint. However, this was time consuming. Now Paul uses LOREnet. Using its search engine he surfs the available learning objects and finds a Powerpoint presentation as well as a few illustrations. Colleagues of his have made these learning objects and placed them on LOREnet. Paul downloads the presentation and illustrations. Adding his own knowledge, he compiles his lecture. After giving it he places it on LOREnet, meaning someone else can benefit from his work.
